Murakami Takashi. My arms and legs rot off and though my blood rushes forth, the tranquility of my heart shall be prized above all–Red blood, black blood, blood that is not blood 腕、足がもげ、血噴き出すも、己 心の平安こそ、代え難き物也ーー赤い血、黒い血、血ではない血. Kaikai Kiki Factory (2008). Signed along lower right edge by Murakami and Numbered out of 300 editions. Offset print with printing silver leaf, spot varnishing, high gloss varnishing and holographic lamination. 700 mm x 830 mm (approx 28 in x 32.7 in).
New. Excellent condition. Archivally framed as pictured. Frame in very good condition, with no readily observable flaws.
Notable for having perhaps the longest title of any print in the Murakami oeuvre, this print is one of Murakami’s representations of the father of Zen Buddhism, Bodhidharma, also known as Daruma in Japan. Murakami created this series of art as he was contemplating his own mortality. This is perhaps his most stunning Buddha print.
